Role Overview
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking team member to join our Deli Department! You’ll be part of a hands-on team preparing fresh sandwiches, serving customers, and helping keep our deli running smoothly.The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing great customer service, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Previous deli or food-service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, courteous service.
Food Preparation: Prepare fresh sandwiches and deli items according to store standards.
Slicing & Serving: Safely slice deli meats and cheeses using deli equipment.
Cleaning & Sanitation: Clean and sanitize slicers, counters, utensils, dishes, floors, mats, and other work areas.
Food Safety: Follow proper food-handling, storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures.
Daily Deli Operations: Keep the department stocked, organized, and running efficiently throughout the day.
Team Support: Assist coworkers with daily tasks and help maintain the overall appearance and operation of the deli.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous deli, grocery, restaurant, or food-service experience is a plus, but not required. We will train the right person.
Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and willing to work hard.
Work Attitude: Friendly, respectful, and willing to learn new skills.
Attention to Detail: Able to follow instructions and maintain store standards.
Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift 10+ lbs as needed.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary or food-service certification is a plus.
